|Mayor Luis J. Jalandoni III solemnized the wedding ceremony of 59 couples last February 15, 2017 at the city gymnasium as part of the Local Civil Registrar’s annual mass wedding program. The occasion was attended by Vice Mayor Rex R. Jalandoon who gave the opening remarks and the Sangguniang Panlungsod members together with Prov’l Board member Annabelle Q. Bermudo, Acting City Administrator Rommel C. Tam, City Treas. Jerico D. Jalandoni and Civil Registrar Juvy Jomento.|
|Ms. Antonietta A. Gador, Statistical Analyst of the Philippine Statistics Authority was the honored guest and speaker. She said that the mass wedding was in line with the celebration of the Civil Registration Month which enjoins the public to observe proper registration of vital events like marriage, birth, and other important civil records. She encouraged the couples to give special attention to secure civil documents of their children without delay for benefit claims, school records, and future employment needs.|
|Pastor Stephen Flora of the Foundation Baptist Fellowship advised the newly-wed couples to let the Love of God preserve their relationship and to be one with their respective partners in facing the challenges of life.|
